So I got an invite from A7rium from Sonic Bass Records to attend one of their events, Electro Fest v1.2
I decided that this would be a great opportunity to meet some of their artists and hear what they can do. And boy, was I amazed.
A7rium sent a few media passes my way and told me to bring through whoever I wanted, so I decided to take Kinny from Kinny Photography with.
We headed out to Apache’s Bar and Nightclub in Alberton and were warmly greeted and ushered into the venue.
Later on in the evening, we met up with A7rium and some of the other guys and had a great chat about what we could expect from the night and their plans for Sonic Bass.
We were fortunate enough to get access to the DJ booth where we got to shoot my very first event video, which, if I must say so myself, isn’t too bad. If you’d like to check it out, I’ve added it below.
As I said before, I was blown away by the shear talent demonstrated by these young artists behind the decks. You can see the passion they have for their music, just oozing out of them.
We also had a great time doing a small impromptu photo shoot with model Nabeela Mahomed. For more pics of the shoot, you can view the Electro Fest v1.2 event gallery.
The venue, Apache’s Bar and Nightclub, is well designed and has a great atmosphere about it. There is an amazing lounge area near the DJ booth which has some of the most comfortable couches I have ever sat on. The upstairs areas provides a fantastic view of all of the happenings of the dance floor and also features a few couches, of you want to break away from the action and just relax with a drink in your hand.
